A very enjoyable return to Blades after nearly 4 years. We have enjoyed the addition of the summerhouse, but disappointed by the demise of the Moorcock.

Our 3rd stay. Wonderful as ever. Highlight was the barn owl that visited us each evening in the field in front. Flew right past our noses on two occasions. Discovered the Black Swan at Ravenstonedale. Thank you so much for the goody box.

A remarkable and relaxing holiday at Blades Cottage. Your cottage is lovely and we have had a lovely time. We are very relaxed and happy all the time but your cottage has relaxed us even more. I have recommended Blades Cottage on my Facebook page. If we come to Yorkshire again we would stay at Blades Cottage.

Beautiful cottage, everything we hoped for and more. Thank you so much for the welcome hamper. The summerhouse was superb and in total we saw 33 species of birds. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Black Bull at Nateby. We shall miss the peace and quiet and hope to return before too long.

Our first time staying in the Yorkshire dales and we are definitely coming back. Amazing views everywhere you look and perfect, perfect walks straight from the doorstep. The wildlife is astonishing, we’ve seen two barn owls, a little owl and a mouse! The house is lovely and the view out of every window is perfect.Thank you for the amazing welcome pack as well.

Lovely walks from the doorstep and lovely drives round the area. Just fab.
A big thank you to Margaret & John for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage. So well equipped & everything was perfect.
Watching wildlife from the front door, amazing, saw Barn Owl hunting, Oystercatchers, Lapwings, Geese and much more. Wish we were stopping another week. Log burner was very welcoming.
