Stayed 25th September to 2nd October 2021

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blades Cottage. It was beautifully clean and perfectly located. We visited Kirkby Lonsdale, Skipton and Ingleton. The train journey to Skipton is amazing. The caves (white scar) at Ingleton and waterfall trail at Ingleborough are superb.

Stayed 18th to 25th September

Thank you for a most incredible weeks stay at Blades Cottage. We couldn’t have wished for a more comfortable and welcoming stay, absolutely incredible and SO quiet.
We used the recommendations listed in the “property guide” and especially loved the drive incorporating Tan Hill pub - not for the faint hearted.

Stayed 5th to 18th September

Thank you Margaret and John for another stay in your lovely cottage. It has everything we could wish for. We’ve had fantastic weather and enjoyed walking the hilltops again. Woodpecker still around most days.

Stayed 21st to 28th August 2021

Thank you for all the extras including the generous welcome basket. The cottage is really lovely and comfortable. Above all, we have enjoyed the peace and beautiful views. Our highlights were red squirrels in Garsdale and the beautiful station. The amazing scenery on drive to Sedbergh and the walk to waterfall direct from door - path leading to back of Moorcock Inn.

Stayed August 2021

Blades is a comfortable, well equipped cottage with everything you need for an escape from every day busyness. It’s proximity to several Pennine trails make it an ideal choice for walkers and nature lovers.

Fabulous return visit to Blades. Thank you for a perfect setting in such a well equipped cottage. Loved the peace. Retraced old trails, explored others. Took train to Kirkby Stephen, loved the walk back home.
Woodcock still showing everyday! Thank you.

Beautiful cottage with stunning surroundings. Plenty of birds and animals to see. Nice to be away from noise - except the quiet sound of a steam train once or twice a day - a joy to watch.
Cannot wait for our second stay here.

A wonderful week, in a delightful cottage. Secluded but not remote. Easy access to amazing walks from the doorstep.
Lovely places to visit - Ingleton Waterfalls Walk. White Scar Caves. Castle Bolton. The intriguing Forbidden Corner. Ribblehead.
Some nice coffee shops. Laburnum House, Hawes.( ask for the garden room)
Made very welcome at Moorcock Inn - lovely evening walk across the fields.
Thank you for a fabulous week, it’s been a privilege.

Keep an eye open for the Greater Spotted Woodpecker who visits bird feeder late afternoon.
