Stayed 23rd to 27th December 2024
What an amazing week we’ve had at Blades Cottage. It’s like home from home and has everything you need. We’ve done some lovely walks in the local area and visited some nice watering holes. A truly wonderful Christmas with some much needed R&R . We look forward to returning.
Stayed 2nd to 6th November 2024
Blades Cottage has given us the perfect short escape from our hectic everyday life at home. The cottage is just stunning. The views and visiting the Dales have brought us happiness, relaxation and being outside with nature has completely recharged our batteries. The cottage is so homely and cosy and we have to say the attention to detail and the luxury feel has made our stay even more special. Thank you Margaret and John we have memories we will cherish from here. It has been fabulous.

Thank you again for another wonderful, comfortable stay. Had a very sunny two days ,scenery was beautiful, a very relaxing, peaceful place. The summerhouse is a welcome addition for watching the birds and the world go by. Lovely Sunday lunch at Black Bull in Nateby. Thank you.

Well presented and cosy cottage in a beautiful location. The generous welcome hamper was really appreciated. We really enjoyed our holiday and hope to return. Loved the summerhouse and the little Barn Owl.
Stayed 24th August to 7th September 2024
2nd time here and we have had a fabulous time. Weather has been mixed but it has not dampened our holiday spirit. Seen the owl a few times and it’s great watching the House Martins. Thank you Margaret and John for the welcome pack and all your help. We will be back.

Our second stay and just as lovely as last year. It’s such a superb location. Cottage is great and we love the summerhouse. Thank you for the welcome pack, especially the bubbly and card for our special anniversary. The Stone House was lovely.
Stayed 10th to 17th August 2024
A beautiful peaceful spot. The summerhouse was well used each evening watching the barn owl, kestrel and even a pair of herons on the last evening. Only one day of rain which didn’t last. Batteries fully recharged in “gods own country”.

Fantastic comfortable and warm cottage. We’ve had a wonderful week of excellent walking with some surprisingly good weather.
